The villa takes its name from a small private consecrated chapel dedicated to San Francesco d’Assisi, built in 1582 to serve pilgrims travelling to Rome. Commissioned by the noble Philippi Passerini, this chapel forms the historic heart of the property, with later extensions and restoration carried out during the 1980s.

The private pool measures approximately 10 by 4 metres and sits on a quiet terrace just below the villa, framed by olive trees. A small pool house provides storage for outdoor furniture and gym equipment. Parking is available for three cars, along with a separate laundry building used partly for owner storage. Just a few kilometres from Cortona itself, on a South-West-facing hillside with long views towards Val di Chianna, the villa sits on one hectare of olive groves, with a fenced garden area within.

Within easy reach of two train stations, Camucia and Terontola, it’s an ideal location to explore Florence or Arezzo for the day. There’s good access to the A1/E35 at Bettolle, connecting you to Firenze in the North and Rome in the South.
